This document provides an update of the activities of the APPG on the Great Lakes Region of Africa from April 2010 and detailing the APPG's plan until March 2011. The overall aims on the broadest level are to continue to promote security and sustainable development, the protection of vulnerable groups, accountability and governance issues in the Great Lakes region, as well as maintain interest in the environment and UK aid to the region.

A checklist setting the APPG’s actual achievements against the targets set out in our last workplan is included (it should of course be noted that the many activites not in the workplan were also carried out). Numerous routine activities have been omitted from this report for reasons of space – for example routine briefings for members of the APPG and our extensive informal contacts with civil servants and ministers.
